If you tow a lot you might consider a "wet Bolt " kit which replaces the nylon sleeve on the spring shackle with a brass sleeve and a bolt with a zerk fitting on it. That is where most of the noise and wear comes from.
Also they make a new sleeve that has permanent lubricant infused in it that is supposed to accomplish the same thing with out changing the bolts.
When I was a lad working in a service station, we used to squirt brake fluid on the springs.
