Stabilizer jacks eating battery charge

So I have noticed that if I pull into camp and setup using both tongue and stab jacks that by the next morning my duel brand new group 24 batteries will be down to 2/3 charge. This is using just a few lights for less than 20 minutes that night. I figured I would get better performance out of two batteries but it seems thos jacks are a bit of a drain. So to remedy this, this past weekend I left the tow vehicle plugged in and running during setup. Anyone see a problem with this??

Also this is a 2013 26BH.

Nope, don't see a problem, I leave mine plugged into my truck until everything is set up

IMO, leaving the tow vehicle hooked up during setup will not hurt anything, and should help reduce the drain on the batteries during setup. Are the batteries new??

I have had a group 31 battery on my 2005 Jay Feather LGT for about 6 seasons now. It provides about 30% more reserve than a group 24. When my new 2013 Eagle 28 BHS comes in, I told the dealer I want the same size battery on it too.

I also leave the vehicle running and connected when setting up. This will not hurt anything unless you forget to unplug before moving the truck when you are done.
