Step covers

I have 6 steps on my 29 RLDS and I use the Camco burgendy-wine 23" step covers on each step. The RV is only 4 years old and I have replaced 3 or 4 of them already. At about $18.00 + each this is getting expensive. So what if anything different are you guys using to cover the steps.

I used the same product on my previous TT and had them for over 10 years. They were getting a little ratty looking when I traded the rig but they still did the job.

I have the same product on my steps, I purchased them 2 campers ago. Perhaps they are not making the same quality as they once were.

Do you take them off or leave them on when you travel?

Thank you for the replies
Sounds like you guys are having better luck with them.

I leave them on while traveling. I think it would be to much of a hassel to take them off every time. I always fold up the stairs when the unit is not being used.
I do go out at least 7 - 10 days a month so they do get used a lot. One of the ones I replaced about a year back just crumbled like it was rotten, 2 of the ones I have now are just tearing, both are on the bottom step, but I hardle ever use the front (bedroom) steps but it is tearing also.
