Suggestions for Additional Magnetic Tail Lights
We are getting ready to head out on a trip this coming weekend and found that our driver side tail light was full of water which has seemed to short quite a few of the led diodes in the tail light housing. I contacted the dealer for repair since the trailer is less than two months old (2017 WH 24MBH), but they are not able to get us in for about three weeks. I was thinking about purchasing a set of magnetic tail lights which I can mount to the rear bumper of the TT for some additional lighting. The lights use a four pin flat blade connector. So, my total noob question, if I connect the TT to the 7-pin harness on the TV, can I also leverage the 4-pin at the same time?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

If you have both connectors, it should work. The only concern I might have is amperage draw and maybe blowing the fuse in the TV. If the extra lights are also LED, may not be a problem as the current draw is generally quite a bit less than incandescent. But if there is a potential short in the regular light, plus the brake controller draw, plus the pony lights, you might pop the fuse. Have an extra on hand just in case.

Thanks!
Also, for anyone interested, here are a couple of pics. You can see the darker shade about 80% of the way up the tail light, it's full of water. The other photo, I was able to break the seal on the bottom of the light to allow what was in there to drain... a wonderful rust color.

I have the same issue with my new Whitehawk. How did you break the seal? Does the red plastic covering the lights come off?
Thanks
Steve

After removing the three screws in the cover, I stuck a very small flat head screwdriver along the bottom between the red cap cover and black housing just enough to separate the seal allowing the water to drain out. The cover may come off but I only went as far as to allow the fluid to drain.

Years ago we leased a pickup and the inside of one of the taillights would accumulate water. I had no clue how kept getting in there.
I drilled a TINY hole at the bottom of the plastic lens. POOF! No more water inside.

dncoozle, I did separate the lens from the housing toward the bottom. Drained all the water out. Bought some clear sealer and sealed everything I could see that would might allow water to enter. Sealed the screw holes too. We will see how this goes once we get rain again.

Sounds like that might work. We have our trailer in for warranty work and they are simply replacing the entire housing. We had the two front amber colored lights go out as well, they weren't sealed and had moisture.
