Super Lube Axles Safe?
I know with other axle lube systems where they lube from the front to the back there's a risk of blowing out the rear seal and ruining brakes. With this system the grease comes from back to front. Barring trying to grease the axles in cold weather where the grease won't flow is there a risk of damaging the seal with this system? Anyone have any issues?

If a double lip seal is installed and you follow the procedure (turn the wheel while injecting grease) it shouldn't be a problem.

That's what the replacement part # is, so I assume it is also factory installed.

I use a cordless grease gun (Farm & Fleet). It has two speeds, high speed is to prime the gun and low speed is to pump into the zert. I jack up the RV, remove the wheels, dust cap and start spinning the drum (constantly) while I pump (at low speed) watching the grease come out. When purchased new I caution that the hubs are not full and greasing should take place as soon as possible. When the grease is the same color (I like red grease) coming out as it is going in (usually a full tube) its done. The cordless gun sure saves on the arms and I can continually spin the drum. This ensures a good flush and helps preserve/maintain the rear seals

I like the idea of cordless grease gun. Any particular reason you pull the tire and wheel off. I usually get my wife to turn wheel while I add grease. I have used a compressed air gun but I would much rather have cordless. What brand is your cordless? Thanks

Of course I'm away from home camping. It's a Lincoln 18v was on sale at F&F ($200). To old for the manual pump gun. Camping world wants $300 to do the job. I grease twice a year and normally, go through four tubes of red grease. Wheel removal allows the grease to gravity fall onto a piece cardboard on the ground. My style of wheel/cap (if left on) would require digging the grease out from inside the cap (been there done that). Do you rent out your mechanics assistant?

Not my current RV, last 5r. Saved the axel but still cost $$$$
Some may say overloaded? But at 5k miles the bearing should be good to go.
I greased my new 5r. at 200 miles and one hub took a lot of grease before any came out the front bearing, and at 9500 miles and several greasing's, my rear seals are still dry.

What size axle was that? What was the weight of your 5r? Im not used to seeing 5 lug hubs on a 5th wheel.
