Supplied outside stove?

I just bought a new Jayco and it came with a outside stove that mounts on the side of the trailer.

The question I have is this stock Jayco supplied stove any good?

I have a Very good Gladiator Series Coleman I used with my previous trailer.

I got one also but haven't iused it. Its looks like it might be decent. I prefer to use my Coleman because I can keep it away from the trailer. I'm just not comfortable with a gas grill hanging on the side of the trailer under my awning.

You will get mixed reviews. I tried to use mine and eventually threw it away. I found it hard to clean and to close to the camper for my style of cooking.

I have seen them for sale new so others must feel the same way.

It was a $200. option on my rig which is way over priced IMO. I did save the regulator, hose and mounting bracket.

I never used mine but my buddy uses his all the time and loves it.

I have no qualms using mine and use regularly. It's underpowered so won't handle a very large meal but it's adequate for what I use it for. You also need to be aware that it doesn't work that great if it's very windy.

Happy with our cook-top ... it rolls-out from the storage spot so it isn't against the TT, nor is its placement under the awning; once the grill is mounted on the bumper, it makes a perfect "U" for DH (it's his kitchen, mine is inside). Since we have a late sleeper AND making coffee creates steam and moisture inside the TT, it is a treat to do it outside next to a blazing fire - even in nasty weather; we do not find cleaning-up a problem.

if its like the one we had on our pup, I used that for 19 years outside under the awning without any trouble. When we sold the pup last spring to buy our HTT I didn't even think about Jayco not providing the outside stove again, and I miss it a lot. If you're thinking about selling yours I'd love to see a picture and if it's compatible with my 17z I'd be interested in buying it. I haven't been able to find one on line all summer, just grills, which I don't need. Thanks.

I have never used the ones I have had. The last trailer I purchased new I didnt take that option. I think they are too close to the RV and you can also get better quality buying a camping stove. I also set up a kitchen away from the camper with a gas grill, stove and sometimes a smoker or a deep fryer depending on what we are cooking.

If you decide not to use it just turn it into a shelf. Great for beverages, keeps them out of the sun. I have electric near mine and I brew my morning coffee on it when we eat outside. This photo is not mine but I copied the idea.
