We purchased the Progressive Industries EMS-HW30C Hard-Wired unit. I plan to do the install myself.

Good choice, you won't regret it with their quality and warranty. And if you have any installation questions their tech support is terrific.

I bought the Progressive EMS-HW30C the 2nd year we had our 26BH. We stayed at a county CG that had electrical issues that kept causing under voltage and that convinced me to buy one. I installed it myself but the install took a few hours because the fuse panel had to nearly come out to access the mounting location.

Thank for all of the responses. We know we are going to buy one. We just have to decide which model. I have a brochure from the dealership explaining them, but still not sure which way to go. What is the difference between the $100 and the $300 models?

We have the Progressive EMS HW30C and this unit will protect your camper from way more than just a power surge. You should also understand that it is made in the USA and has a lifetime warranty. Great unit a must have. I am a maintenance tech and ths is a very good unit for the price.

$100 model is most likely a surge protector. The others protect against surges but also low voltage or high voltage. Low voltage is probably the situation you find more often than high voltage. On those hot summer days when everyone comes back at 5 from being out all day and kick the AC on you can easily get a voltage drop. Especially in older campgrounds. This will shut the power off until the voltage returns to a safe number. Lightening is typically the source of surges.

You can't wrong with the Electrical Management System EMS progressive industries... They also analyze the electric system in the campground to make sure they are wired properly. Well worth the $$
