Table and Chairs

Welp, welcome back to me.

We're thinking this year about a Jayflight 28RLS. Last summer the wife had me cornered into a White Hawk but I was able to fight my way out.

We have a 12-year-old daughter and the RLS is not a bunk model but the hide-a-bed option looks like it might do the trick.

It's not a common model so I won't ask specific questions about it but we're thinking about the table and chairs rather than a booth. The dinette in our Feather is nice but it's not comfortable. Anyone who has the table and chairs or has seen it in the wild, is the table height-adjustable, and is it attached to the floor or the wall? The reason I'm asking is if we don't like it we could use the space for recliners or a bar or something else.

Hope everyone has enjoyed the winter so far. We are nowhere near the end with at least 3 months left. Last night we got dumped on and it's single digits out there. Not too early to be thinking about the camper though!

We have a Jay Flight SLX, model 265RLS, I believe the layout is similar. It would be nice to have the chairs option, the dinette booths are not the most comfortable. Our daughter and 5 year old granddaughter camp with us nearly every trip and they always sleep on the jack-knife couch and for 2 years it’s worked fine. We almost got a bunk house and I’m glad we changed our minds because the huge rear window is amazing!

Our 2015 27RLS is similar (except for the bathroom area) and we have the table and chairs.

Our table is not height-adjustable and it is fastened to the floor. We have slept 4 adults and 2 grand kids in the unit for a week at a time: The DW and I in the bedroom and son and d-inlaw in the hide-a-bed and the 2 kids on air mattresses on the floor next to the table. Although we shared the bathroom, each group had their own exit and entrance.

BTW, we did not like the 2 swivel-rockers that came with our TT. We got rid of them and replaced one with a table (using one of the dining chairs) and an Ikea chair. The chair fits in the area between the slide and rear window when the slide is in.

In our Rockwood that is gone, we had a folding table that you could move around the TT or even outside it was kind of nice. The rockwood did have the standard bench seats in the dining slide out area.
