Tank Capacities

Hoping someone can answer this question. I have a 2019 Jayco 28BHS. It has two fresh water tanks that hold 38 gallons, a gray tank that holds 39 gallons and a black tank that holds 39 gallons according to the specs on the Jayco website. The issue with their specs is there's actually two gray tanks installed on this model. Gray tank 1 is for shower and bathroom sink. Gray tank 2 is for the kitchen sink. My question is do you think the specs refer to the total capacity of the two gray tanks? Or is each gray tank 39 gallons? Thanks to anyone that can help

I'm guessing your main grey tank (39 gallons) is for the kitchen, bathroom sink, and shower. Your 2nd grey tank is small (around 8 gallons) and is only for your outside kitchen. On my 32BHDS, the 2nd grey tank has its own dump outlet/valve near the rear bumper.

That's actually a good point, but I can rule that our because I removed the outdoor kitchen and capped off the gray tank that plumbing went to. Went camping this past weekend and had to dump both gray tanks. Tank 1 was full (showers and bathroom sink). Tank 2 was 1/3 full from dishes in the kitchen.

The outdoor kitchen was plumbed to the rear gray tank which is where the shower and bathroom are as well which I assume shares that same tank.

call Jayco and tell them your year and model and they will tell you the actual sizes. my new t33l brochures says it has a 95 gallon fresh tank but the yellow weight sticker says it hold 142 gallons so I called Jayco they told me my model has two 68 gallon tanks and 6 gallons in the water heater for a total of 142 gallons which coincides with the weight sticker. give the manufacturer a call not the dealer

Take the time to measure (buckets of clean water). You'll feel better if you do.

Well I feel dumb now. Went searching on Google and found someone posted about this same thing on this forum back in 2018. It looks like it's 2 39 gallon grey tanks. One for the kitchen and one for the bathroom. I just don't understand why Jayco doesn't have that listed in their spec sheet. They show the two fresh water tanks.

Here's the actual 28BHS floorplan. No more guessing it's all right here.
