Taping AC duct/ vents ?

I thought there was a thread here that had pictures of the ceiling vents being taped up but can't find it. Anyone have a before / after pic or know the thread I'm looking for ? Going camping this weekend and its suppost to be over 100 and I would like to tackle this before we go .

Thanks Allen

Tom is the man! You'll want 2" wide aluminum foil tape for the job.

I've done the same:

Did you notice a difference in airflow after the mod?

Yes, quite a difference overall. And I had one vent above the fridge that was cut at an angle such that the air had no choice but to go into the space in between the ceiling and the vents (the hole cut through the ceiling didn't line up at all with the vent cut into the duct work...it was shifted off center by a full inch). Finding and fixing that alone was worth this mod.

I also did this mod and can't imagine how someone wouldn't (unless you don't need 100 percent of your a/c) way better pressures in the vents! I also **** down the plastic ring and goes up into the ceiling so it matches the depth of the tape. On some I had to cut down and inch or more. Just allows the air flow to get to the back vents

Well I'm glad I taped up my joints. Made a big difference last weekend. Looks like the Ac duct runs in a straight line so I might cut in one more vent .

What exactly did you tape/cut on your 29.5? I too have a 2016 and am interested in this mod. The other link has over 100 pages...

The link provided in post #3 above (the one I copied below) showed the pics of what was taped off. You remove the 4 screws holding in a ceiling AC vent, tape the gap between the duct and the ceiling panel (as shown in the pics provided), remove/unsnap the black ring from the vent cover, and screw the vent cover back to the ceiling panel using the same 4 screws. Easy Peasy! https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f6...tml#post551273
