Temp sensor outside

We have a new 2022 Jay feather 27BHB. my question is why is there a temp sensor on the outside of the trailer that shows up on our jaycommand as room temp. I verified this today with a shot of freeze spray. Is there something hooked up wrong or am I just not seeing it’s purpose

Our 2022 Jay Feather 24RL also has an outside sensor, in addition to the one inside...AND, it was cross wired at the factory.
The outside sensor was sending the outside temp as the inside temp to the ac unit which ran continuously, causing it to freeze up.
Dealer took care of it by correcting the wiring.
If that is the case with yours, you cannot just disconnect the outside sensor as if you do it will not be sending any readings to the ac and it may not cycle or run at all.
We were on a trip, and I had to pull the outside sensor, cut wire, and used wire I had on hand to run it to the interior via a window, which worked for 3 days till we returned home.
Dealer rewired my cut sensor (plenty of wire left) and corrected the crossed wires inside the trailer.
