testing battery [re-]charge function

is there a quick real-time test to determine if the system that provides for the trailer battery to receive a charge [while towing/from Tow vehicle] is functioning correctly? my TV mechanic confirms the tow vehicle is properly "sending" the charge. Is there a proactive way to confirm the charge is "receiving" properly to the TT battery?

Do you have a multimeter? If so, measure the voltage at the battery before and after plugging in the 7 pin. If you see the voltage rise, then you should be charging.

Yep!

OH - one other thing you might try to check -- with the battery slightly discharged on the TT - leave the car off and plug in the 7 pin. See if the voltage goes up slightly. If not, turn the key to on, but dont start it and check the voltage again.

On some TVs - like my Chevy - the 7 pin is hot all the time. If I were to leave the TT plugged in for a long period of time you risk of draining your TV.

On the plus side, if I keep my 7 plugged in at the camp site it tops off my TV battery
