Nest = smart thermostat. Usually used at home.

Interesting suggestion. I wonder if the Nest can overcome the hi/lo fan speed issue you find when trying to use a home t-stat in a camper?

Have the same thermostat and have been looking for a replacement. As far as I can tell there is none. Talked to a lot of rv repair places and was told nobody has a replacement. Hope you can find something that will interchange.

I pulled mine apart and there was 3 wires. From what I was told Dometic is the only one that has 3 wires.

Will it work on 12 volts?

According to the specifications a nest works on 24 volts AC, most RV's work on 12 volt DC.

I have a Dometic thermostat that works quite well.

You can purchase one here for a lot less than the Nest.

I used a simple Honeywell Thermostat off Amazon around $30, A thermostat is nothing more than a switch so as long as you keep the thermostat relatively simple you should be fine.
