Tire and Wheel recommendations

I have a Jay Flight 2006 26BHS TT that I need to replace rusty wheels and 7 year old Goodyear Marathon ST225/75R15 tires. I currently only use the TT once a year for deer camp as I have a 5th wheel that DW and I use to travel around in now. However my DD has indicated that she might be interested in using it sometime as it sits most of the year.

I have been on the internet and into a local tire shop and find prices for 4 tires and wheels to be anywhere from $500-$980. I know Goodyear Endurance (tire shop) are probably the highest rated and I have Westlake's (etrailer.com) on my 5th. I have also seen Carlisle (tire shop), Loadstar (on-line), Maxxis (on-line) and many others. Don't want to pay $1000 when 1/4-1/2 that could have bought a quality tire (no china bombs).

I also need my bearings repacked so am looking at probably $360-$375 (to have my local RV shop do) on top of the price for the tires. I am capable to change the tires and repack the bearings myself, but I probably wouldn't have all the necessary stuff to do and am at an age that I could do something else with my time.

If you were me with the usage I currently have, what tire manufacturer would you tend to go with/purchase?

Thanks for you thoughts.

Forgot to mention that the one trip per year is just at 700 miles round trip.

Why replace with expensive tires if you only use it maybe one time a year?
