Toilet upgrade suggestions?

Anyone have a suggestion for a toilet upgrade for Jayco Bhs264? Looking for something a little higher off the ground Thanks!

I'm not familiar with what is used in your travel trailer but several on the fifth wheel site, including me, have replaced the standard Dometic 310 with the 320 model. It is the elongated version and sits taller. It's virtually the same as what we have in our home. If you have room for it, it is a good choice.

The Dometic 320 is the most popular upgrade. It's as close to an elongated home toilet as you'll find for an RV.

As an added benefit, it also allows the use of a toilet seat bidet. Anyone used to such a bidet cannot be without one ever again, lol.

Thanks!

Thank you! Any idea which bidet works with the Domestic 320? Also, how complicated is the install for this upgrade?

Any elongated bidet will work with the 320 as it has the same dimensions as a home toilet. That's one of the reasons many choose it as an upgrade.

The installation to replace an existing RV toilet is simple. Check the dimensions first to ensure it will fit in your specific RV (it usually does but you need to measure first). There are many videos on YouTube demonstrating all the installation steps involved. Anyone with minimal DIY skills can do it.

The installation of a bidet for this toilet is also demonstrated on YouTube.

A quick search of Dometic 320 on YouTube will find all the info you need.

From the search feature at the top of the page. This topic was covered a few weeks ago.

You didn't say what year your trailer is, but I assume the bathroom is the same size as my 2019 264BHS. The bathroom is VERY SMALL! So, the recommendation to measure first is a very good idea. There's very little "standing room" as it is, so the 320 model with elongated bowl and seat may stick out too far. Just check and confirm first.

We have a 2020, was the elongated too big for your bathroom? I think the measurements look ok, but I guess I wont know until it is all set up.

I didn't install an elongated toilet because the bathroom is so small that I'm already standing so close to the bowl that the elongated design adds no benefit.

I would never hear the end of it from my friends. Mainly, because I'd never leave the bathroom.

From my research a few years back when I had to replace our Dometic 300.
Most standard Dometics are model 300 round, plastic bowl. The 310 is an upgrade, taller stool with elongated porcelain upper bowl and residential self closing, enameled wood seat. The 320 is all porcelain and sits further back which makes it difficult to install if your replacing a 300 as it can interfere with the wall. Dometic has a very useful page on their website with measurements. Best of luck.
PS Updating to the 310 (320 didn’t fit) was the best upgrade we ever made.

Just an FYI- the elongated bowl is for comfort when sitting. It has nothing to do with peeing when standing over the bowl. Bahahaha😂😹😂
