Tongue Jack Drop Leg Help

Hi all,

I had a drop leg extension on my last TT tongue jack and my new TT didn’t come with one. I got a Bulldog drop leg extension from my local TSC but it doesn’t fit in my Lippert tongue jack.

Anyone else have this same issue?

I filed the edges to get a nice lead in but it still won’t go in. There is a weld seam on the inside of the tongue jack that might interfere but I don’t think that is what is hanging it up. Even if it was, not sure how I would grind it down.

Two different brands .
They may be using different types of tubing.

I'd suggest trying the lippert drop leg, probably has the best chance of fitting correctly.

Ended up getting the Lippert LC405217 Drop Leg Extension. Fits as it should, but a bit disappointed that it isn't as tall as I would have liked. And for $60 I would have expected something a bit better, since it was 2X as much as the Bulldog at TSC which had twice the extension height. All in all, it works, just not exactly what i wanted. If it wasn't for the formed tube, I would have just made my own.

I have one. Works well just make sure you are chocked before putting weight on, and that it is perfectly vertical, or you might get a surprise.

Bulldog parts are odd ball, they do not fit universal applications.
