Tongue Jack Spinning

Hello All,
Recently our electric tongue jack (FIC 3500) started spinning when we raise or lower it. Works fine if I hold it to keep it from spinning otherwise, it just spins in place. Iíve done a couple searches on the web and canít find anything that describes my problem. Anyone out there familiar with this? Is there a fix for it?
Thanks in advance,
Joe Luebeck

There is a pin in there somewhere that sheared off most likely.
Call the company and see if they have them plus instructions.
You can get one of these based on the exact model for $100 to $200 so might be better to pitch it.

Simple replacement , 3 bolts, 1 wire connection.

Here's an older thread with the same issue. Not sure if it'll help but might be worth reading. Your jack may have a shear pin that snapped., or whatever holds the tube has bent/broken/stripped. Did you accidently raise it to the upper stop limit? They often don't like it when it happens, and can break.
Every day's a learning experience, though sometimes not what we expected.

Thanks all it was just a broken shear pin. Had to raise and block the trailer to fix it.

And thank you for closing the thread. It is always nice when an OP reports a solution.
