Towing a Swift SLX 165RB ?

Thinking of buying a Swift SLX 165RB, but not sure if our Highlander V6 can manage its weight. It has the tow prep package on it.
Its towing capacity is 3500.
Anyone have experience with this TT?

we tow our slx 154bh fine with the same engine in my Rav4, we are just mindful of the stuff we put in it!

what year is your highlander, 3.3 or 3.5 liter?

Had a Swift SLX 165RB, it's max weight on the sticker is about 3500 pounds IIRC. Sounds like you're going to be about maxed out on your TV. All I can suggest is that you try it and see. We towed ours with a Dodge Grand Caravan, which was ok for short distances up to about 30 miles, but the car really cried for help. So we upgraded to an F150 - that worked great. Worked so well that we upgraded our TT to a Jay Feather 23RLSW, which is about 1500 pounds heavier. Still works great.

Just like everyone else, me included, you will eventually end up upgrading your SUV sooner or later.

I have the 184BH, tow it all last summer with my Jeep 4dr (rated for 3500lb)
it was not fun living under a wight restriction, not be able to travel far, travel with water in the tanks, without bicycles, lack camping gear and etc.

This spring I traded my beloved Jeep for F150 FX4 Supercrew (rated for 9000lb), and WOW, what a difference.
