Towing ball height

We have a new to us 2021 Jayco Eagle 330RSTS Travel Trailer and can't find the info that we need, in the manual.
We need to know the proper ball height for towing while on the road for our 2021 Jayco Eagle 330RSTS Travel Trailer.
Does anyone know this, or know where I can find it?

Measure the top of the coupler with the trailer sitting level and you will have the number.

For that camper I would level the trailer (preferably parked on a paved or concrete surface) then measure from the ground to the top of the coupler on the trailer and add 2” to that measurement and set the top of the trailer ball height at that measurement.

If you are using a weight distribution hitch that 2” difference may vary.

Measure the distance from the ground to your ball when the rig is not hooked up. Hook up the rig. Measure the drop. You now need to determine whether you need an air bag system to be able to bring the rig back to level. You will not do that any other way. If you have a large drop when hooked up, you will need to determine whether you are nose heavy or tail heavy. Tail heavy is going to be a fish tail situation that you do not want to be in.
You may be able to raise or lower the ball to compensate but you do need to be level when hooked up.

Nice trailer. Big trailer. What are you pulling it with?

Hopefully, a 3/4 ton diesel or bigger and a 4 point weight distribution hitch.

Just follow the installation instructions on the hitch.

You want the right size drop mount so that the trailer is about level when it's hooked up as it would be going down the highway.

Unfortunately, we are not in a position to be able to do that. This is why I was asking & hoping someone would know the height.

There is nothing wrong with hooking up with whatever you have as long as its not too crazy out of wack and pulling it to another area close to you and get this setup correct. There are delivery carriers that don't even use WDH for lengthy trips.

Of course with WDH installed, this can change your overall level for both units. Its somewhat important that you get things correct, which assists in stable steering and minimal stress on your tires and uneven tire wear. Sometimes it takes several tries to get things where you feel comfortable after loading for highway use.

I have a 330RSTS, and 1 ton diesel... can confirm this uses a good portion of this truck.

She's bagged and I also use a WDH. Tongue weight pushes 1500

This is excellent information! I found this app to have a lot of info I didn’t know.

According to the app your unit has a hitch coupler height of 29-1/2”.
