As stated before it sounds as if your breakaway switch may have inadvertently gotten pulled out OR your trailer connection is improperly wired and possibly you're sending a full 12 volts to the brakes when you have the TV hooked up and powered up. Hope you find the problem so you can salvage you trip!

Safe travels!

Thank you for the update and glad you have it fixed.
I would take a guess and say you backed the trailer into the driveway and it may have happened when making a sharp turn/maneuver. and the cable caught and pulled the pin. You may not have noticed it while backing up as much as you would going forward. Make sure that you connect the breakaway cable correctly and leave enough slack so it doesn't get caught when making turns.

One end of that breakaway "key" should be teathered to your tow vehicle so that if the trailer come disconnected from your tow vehicle, the trailer brakes will engage on battery power

You said you found it in the driveway...... That tells me it wasn't

Actually the tip of the pin had a loop which was broke...and on the light hookup was a lone zip tie...I'm thinking that was attached to the loop on the pin...to keep from loosing the pin ?
