Edit: I see you're talking about the hitch itself. I use a locking receiver pin from andersen. I had the reese version before and it didn't last long before the lock stopped working. It also shimmed up to the right size which isn't as strong. Solid pin gives me peace of mind.

I use one of these. Used to use the yellow one on my car trailer but this one's beefier.
I've also bought other reese products and they all have the same key... so keep that in mind.

Lots of good ideas, but any lock made can be removed in just a minute or less if someone really wants your stuff. Locks work well for us honest guys though.

I wouldn't know. I found out about them too late. I'm 6 years into a child custody battle. You would not believe

This is why I always look for cheap but effective.

To a battery powered angle grinder my home made $10 battery box lock is equal to the $150 "battery shackle" at camping world.

I use one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/OKLEAD-Anti-T...NsaWNrPXRydWU=
got it on Prime Days for about $10.00. Might be easy enough to defeat, but it sure does look impressive.

I use this one, https://www.amazon.com/MegaHitch-Loc.../dp/B00GA9WR3I

It’s solid.

Looks real nice, and would help keep us honest guys away only.

The only reason I put a lock on mine is when the insurance company asks me if it was locked, I can say yes.

Use these too... along with other measures... there are so many trailers being stolen in UT/NV/AZ we have to be extra diligent.
