Trailer Insurance

I have a 2017 Jayco WhiteHawk 27DSRL I use Goodsam insurance (National General). $470 per year. How does this seem to you all? My new 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 ($58000) is less than $600. Trailer seems high compared to the truck.

$1000 deductible on collision & comp.
Includes hail damage etc..

I would need to know coverages / deductibles / policy details such as full replacement value l etc to give you an educated answer. Rates vary widely between carriers and you need to be sure you are comparing like coverages...

Insurance is very hard to price-compare especially between different states (or up here in Canada!)

Best way to know if you have a good deal is to shop around with people selling insurance in your local area.

Geography means so much to insurance rates. Simply living where hail storms occur can make it double an area without.

Almost nobody can tell you if $400 is high, low or right on with all the details. If you feel it's high, request some quotes.

We have all of our insurance with Nationwide, we pay mid-$200s with $500 deductible.

We pay $460 per year for our 2017 White Hawk 27DSRL. That includes full replacement coverage with a $500 deductible.

Trailer Insurance

I was with the GoodSam insurance for a couple years(can’t remember the underwriter now). It was around $350/year. Called State Farm to bundle it, and it’s $11/month with a $500 deductible. The caveat is that theft of personal items would be covered under homeowners.

I am paying $216 a year with geico. Includes trip interruption, roadside, agreed value with $500 deductible. I have my auto and home owners with them as well. They also lowered it a little bit as I have a commercial license. I think that I got a far rate considering that I live in NY where everything is expensive. I think about $18 a month is not bad at all.

We use AAA (CSAA) here in Northern California. We pay $97 a year. Personal property is covered by homeowners. This is not replacement value.

And what is your deductible for your home owners insurance?

That is the reason we dropped State Farm and went with Good Sam/National general.
We pay about $230.00 per year with a $250.00 deductible AND we get about $87.00 back when we go onto the storage plan. We also have full replacement.
