Trailer Parking

What do you park your trailer on in storage? I know on the grass/dirt is a bad idea. I was thinking road base rock.

Ours is parked in a gravel lot. No problems so far.

What's so bad about grass?

The only time my TT's have ever been over asphalt or concrete is when they are hitched up.

Winter storage: Dead grass.
Summer use: Grassy, dirt <-> mud (depending on weather)
Summer idle time: Move to a new spot so I can mow where the TT was last week.

Some people feel that long term storage over grass can cause moisture issues. Personally I store over grass, sometimes mud, a little gravel, etc.

Ours is parked on a gravel pad with thick boards under the tires. I cover the tires in winter.

My side yard is rock/gravel and have parked two different TT's there for 12 years. I also cover the tires in the winter because it gets cold here

Spring/Summer/Fall storage is on small crushed gravel in an outdoor storage lot

Winter is usually in some sort of a machine shed on Limestone or Dirt
