Travel Trailer Surge Protector

I have a 2007 JayCo Jayflight 29 BHS travel trailer. Which is the right surge protector for it?

Hi, you didn't specify if you needed 30 or 50amp but, there are a few really good ones that people use. We are will be full time soon and got the Hughes 50amp power Watchdog.
Others on here recommend Progressive EMS. I think it is a personal choice depending on how much money you want to spend for your comfort level. I do know they are worth it to protect your system, one zap can cause a major problem with all your electrical, anything with a circuit board.

Good luck 😊

Looks like it.....ours is the 50 Amp. Depending on where you are camping you may want to get a lock for it so no one steals it...or get the get the one that is wired direct in the box by your cord.

Thanks I appreciate it. I double checked the manual and mine says 30amps. I’ll look into the lock, is there a certain one you’d recommend?

You have two choice on types, hardwired and plug in. I would recommend hardwired, less chance of having to worrying about it walking off, securing it or forgetting it.

As far as brand, there are many different brands and folks here will let you know which one they think is best and why.

I personally have the Progressive Industries brand for my trailer. I have always had good service with their product and customer service.

I have heard Surge Guard and Bull Dog are also good products
