We went to a CG once and the water was shut off and to another that the water was brown. Although we dont drink the water out of fresh water tank because sometimes it gets that plastic tank taste we do carry water for the toilet, sinks and that saturday night bath. We do carry gallon jugs of water for drinking.

Whether your sitting in a stationary spot for months using your fresh water holding tanks, or driving down the road the weight of the water doesn't change and you still have the same straps holding the same tanks. We dont even use it for drinking most of the time, just bathroom stops along the way and washing hands after we stop and eat, etc. Very handy to have. When we had our pdi, the guy filled our tank about half full for us so we could do this on our 841 mile journey home.
