tree sap on canopy
I have tree sap on my canopy and can't get it off. I have tried magic eraser, canopy cleaner, rubber roof cleaner, spray 9, fantastic, and it still will not come off. I sprayed it with canopy cleaner and closed it for 20 minutes and still nothing. Any help would be appreciated

I use a product called Tarminator for removing tar and sap spots. Also GooGone is another product that will work. Try it on a out of the way place before applying liberally.

I wouldn't advise doing this, just because I don't know what long term effect it would have but...
I used Clorox Kitchen Cleaner w/Bleach on my old pop-up and it did wonders. Sprayed it on and let it sit. Used a plastic bristled brush and some elbow grease. The canopy turned out beautiful with no ill effect. Some people will cringe with the word 'bleach' but hey...it worked.
Just use good judgement. Maybe spot test somewhere inconspicuous.

Try "Awesome." It can be purchased at your local Dollar General.

Turpentine will take it off but try it some place where it doesn't show to ensure it won't remove the canopy colorant.

Our kids are out of diapers but we still keep baby wipes in the camper as they're great for wiping things down, including our canvas bed ends and such, in the camper.

I have used hand sanitizer to get tree sap off my truck, hands etc. Any hand sanitizer with alcohol in it should work. Just apply and re-apply and rub it in until it dissolves - no need for hard scrubbing

Dometic instructions for cleaning is to mix 1/4 cup of disk soap, 1/4 cup of bleach in 5 gals of water. coat top of awning, roll it up let stand 5 minutes, unroll, rinse and repeat if needed.

Alcohol based hand sanitizer works really well on sap. Also I love using Oxi-clean and warm water with car wash soap to clean the awning...I have never experienced any harmful side affects to the materials and it gets the white super clean with minimal effort. Btw I use the powdered kind that you would add to laundry!!
