I have a 1999 Jayco Designer 3120,that I bought three weeks ago. When I got it home the slider opened just like it should. Today I pushed the button, and nothing, in or out.

Welcome to the forum.

If it's the battery, you should be able to plug into your tow vehicle and operate the slide.

Even with the switches off, there are some drains on the battery. Unless it's plugged in, or the negative cable removed from the battery, the battery can be drained in a short period of time.
