Trying out some jack stands this season....
Most of the living (and sleeping) space in our 154BH is forward of the axle. When all (3) of us are in the TT, it just seems like we could benefit from more stability in the front corners (the TT come with stabilizers in the rear). I'm going to try a pair these and let you know if we realize significant improvement.....
The 154BH is low....and I have 1" of clearance (at the lowest adjustment of the jack) to work with for my "trial"....hopefully I'll get a favorable site. If it's worth while, I'll have to work up a mod on the jacks so that they can be used on a wide range of campsite terrain. Sure, I could frame mount scissor or leg jacks....and I still might consider that. More important is to see if I get any help at all. More to come....

You will find the jack stands offer much more stability than you can get from a scissor jack. In spite of the height challenges, I predict you will be happy with the jack stands.

We too found on our inaugural trip that the front was a little wobbly. We went for the 'axel flip' to raise the 154BH by about 4". It is so worth it. I didn't worry at all about clearance.
I'll be interested in hearing about the jacks. I was going to inquire at the dealer for front stabilizer ideas.
Have you installed a tv mount in your 154BH? The 1/4" walls are not made to hold any weight. I want to try attaching a 3/4" thick piece of wood to the wall above the media shelf. I'd put 4 molly bolts in each corner and then screw the mount into the board. I wouldn't travel with the tv in place but would slip it into the mount. I'm getting a swivel, tilt, extend mount for small tv's because with the tv on the shelf you don't have a good view from the bench.

Those jacks work real well and are inexpensive. I place one on each side, in front of the front tire under the frame. You will be amazed by the difference....

We've decided not to mount the TV. We bring a 22" TV / Computer monitor combo from the house.....(along with out Kuerig) :hihi:

If you buy them at Wallmart they come in a package of four. Place the two extra stands just ahead of the wheels. That will take some of the movement out of the tires and springs.

UPDATE....purchased a (2) pack of the aluminum stands last season and I place them on the frame just of the front wheels....the TT is rock solid now. They're lightweight and perfect for my application. Thanks again everyone.

I agree that these type stands really help. Bought a pair of BAL X-chocks for between the wheels - that took about 75% of the wobble out. Then added a pair of these jack stands in front of the forward axle, and a pair behind the rear axle. That took another 20% wobble out, so we're really solid now.

I was thinking about getting the BAL Lock Arm stabilizers and would need 3 sets of them. Cost around $240 total. I might just try the stands, especially if they stabilize as well as you guys say they do.

I have a BAL leveler and I love it. I also installed some stabilizers on the front of my 184BH that match the ones in the back. I get no sway in my camper whatsoever. I think I paid $60ish for the front pair of stabilizers.
