TT leveling products

Newbie question, do you use the Bluetooth leveling aids or is plain level as useful? Seeing a couple of products on YouTube and wondering if they are useful/practical.
Thanks,
Steve

I use a good old carpenters level for my TT. I check several areas for level. Inside floor near the refrigerator, side of the unit, frame rail sometimes. Even the bumper once in a while. I'm old fashioned and just like having an actual "tool" in my hands to do certain things.

My 5er has auto level but it's often not as level as I'd like when it finishes. I have a stick on bubble level next to my auto level pad for initial front to rear leveling, then hit the auto level button. Inside I use an Android phone app called Bubble Level which works very well. But, many surfaces in a RV will vary in being "level", tables, island top, even different areas of the floor, I picked a few and finally only use a spot of floor by my island for leveling fine tuning .

I use a LevelMate Pro. Carpenter's level to calibrate the LevelMate, then I level according to the gadget.

Stick on levels that I double check annually or if they seem a bit off. So far they have held on for years without shifting. It's not rocket science.

We have a carpenters level in our rear compartment that my wife will watch for me as I level out. I also have a "Bubble Level" app on my phone that I will use to double check with.

Started with a carpenters level (Harbor Freight aluminum one), still carry in trailer. Put on the stick on ones, those are used to get it "roughed in" but are usually right on with the other level. I recently put on a Rhino Storm RV Leveler, just like levelmate just cheaper. Leveled with other levels then set RV Leveler and use that. Every now and then check with the others to confirm, but so far its held and been right on.

I started with a 24” bubble level, eventualy bought a LevelMatePRO rev 1. It worked pretty good well but ate batteries at an alarming rate. I tried to modify it to be powered by the house batt but I fried it with an adjustable power supply. Bought a rev 2 which has an on/off switch. Works great as long as I remember to switch it on/off. It’s accurate enough for my needs since it reports side-side and front-back.

We also level the old-fashioned way. Stick on levels front and side. There also happens to be a level on the tongue, a front-to back level on the tongue jack, and a bullseye level inside the fridge, all courtesy of the dealer. I'm not sure how many he thought we needed. The front and side levels are always all we need to set up.

Same. It’s so much easier than having the wife yelling directions. I can usually find a dead level side to side spot on the site, and then front to back is just waiting for it to turn green.

I use a carpenters level. I do side to side first then front to back. All I do is open my door and sit level on the floor just inside the door. Has always worked as satisfactorily for me.

Do you have the Pro+ or just the pro?

Welcome Aboard!

I started out with a 8" torpedo level. I used it in the doorway, checked side to side first. Then front to back. I still have it in my tool box incase my "new" level breaks.

My new level is just a simple bullseye level adhered to the frame between the tongue jack and hitch. When I installed it, I spent a few minutes with my bottle jack and got the TT as level as I felt as I could (no one was allowed inside while I did this). Once happy, I applied some silicone adhesive to the tongue and place the bullseye in it. I have been using that ever since.

An example of what I am using:

That's what I use as well. Set the trailer up in the driveway, leveled it with a carpenter level and stuck the stick on levels at the back corner. They have stayed in place just fine. You can't beat the price $11.

I use the LMP not the LMP+ along with some Beach Lane levelers. I used to do the 2' carpenters level stuff but it's no faster and not any better than the LMP. Or vice versa if you will.
The cool thing about the LMP is you can have it on and sit in the vehicle and back in all the while your phone is showing you how level you are. I can pull in and find a sweet spot sometimes and don't need levelers. If not then I know exactly which side needs leveled and exactly how much. No second guessing. My wife will stick the Beach Lanes under the tires and then I just backup till my phone shows level.
She sticks the wedges in and bingo it's leveled side to side. No running back and forth or getting out of the truck or having the wife yell that it's level when it's really not.

Then the fun part. After the sides are level I turn to the front. As I unhitch I hit "save coupler height". Then raise or lower the tongue until it's level front to back.
Then when leaving I can get my phone out and hit "return coupler height" and I can set the coupler to the exact height as when I unhitched.

It might seem to techy for some but even at 69 I still like easy stuff.

FWIW I have my LMP in the passenger side front compartment. When pulling into a spot the wife usually gets out to help backing in. when she does she just opens the storage door and turns the LMP as she walks to the rear of the TT.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

How hard was the initial setup? I struggle getting mine level left to right so I'm really nervous I won't get the LMP set up correctly and then will never be level.

It's not really too hard. The main thing is if you have a slide or not and that you get the measurements correct.

I'm lucky enough that my TT sits about 1/4-1/2" out of level side to side when stored. I just jacked it up a bit with a bottle jack to get it level.
What ever works to get it level.
I don't remember the exact procedure when you have a slide out. The instructions will tell you about that.
I used a 2' level to get it level then setup the LMP.

We've been long-time users of LevelMate Pro in conjunction with Anderson Levelers, we're set-up within minutes using solely hand-signals. We have absolutely no desire to be 'campground entertainment' as many others are who argue or yell, and this is so much faster and easier than using phones or walkie-talkies!

I use the little 9 inch level, on the floor, because they never leveled the countertop when they made the coach. Works great and I slide in a drawer when done.

Yup, exactly.
We have side-to-side and front-to-back on tongue to get close.
Inside we use a torpedo level on a 24" 1/2" aluminum L.
Works and stores really well. So far my back floor and refrig are at the same plane.
