TV

Finally getting my 26bh from storage. Was going to hang my 27inch Samsung tv in the usual tv spot in the dinette wall.
I was wondering if it might be a little heavy and should use a piece of wood sideways to anchor to more than one stud and then mounting the tv on to that or if I am ok just going straight to the wall.

Sounds like it's time to get out the old stud finder! There should already be a backer board mounted behind the wall board, between a couple of studs. There may be a gap between the backer and the wall board - which will throw off the stud finder. You may have to press in on the wall board to get an accurate reading. Just make sure you don't use screws that are so long they'll go completely through the wall.

Is the 2×4 flat or on edge?

Humm, 27" might be a tad large for that space. Think we had a 21 or 22" in our 26BH.
There is a backer board to mount it to. The screws I used went thru a little. Put little plastic dimples over the ends so wouldn't hurt anyone in a bunk. There are no 2 x 4's in trailer walls. You can easily measure the thickness of the wall. The weight should not be a problem.

While not a 27", I did do what you are considering.
