TV install

The TV didn't work on my camper when I bought it. I got it used. no big deal, I am not much of a TV person, but I may want to get another TV at some time......I have the bracket still in place. my question is.........do all TVs have the holes in the back where the bracket can be screwed in, or do I need to look for something specific?

All current Flat Screen TV have the mounting screws holes on the back. Most are metric threads though. Don’t ask how I found this out [emoji15].

The patterns on the brackets can be different. Many TV are pretty standard but not all brackets are. You need to look at what hole pattern is on the existing bracket to make sure when you buy a tv that the bracket will work for that TV. I have found some RV brackets are on the smaller side so they can't hold all TVs. I hope this makes sence.

Most mounts are advertised as meeting some well known system standard for the hole patterns that they fit. That standard is supposed to be noted by the TV manufacturers as well. I have swapped in 2 tvs and have not had a problem getting them to match up to one of the hole patterns on the mount in the TT. The problem I faced was making sure the plug in outlets on the back of the tv are not blocked by the plate on the mount. It was impossible to plug in the hdmi and other audio/video cables because they were blocked by the mount panel. I was able to solve the problem by using an angle grinder to cut out an access area that opened up the plug in outlets. You just have to be a little creative sometimes to get things to match up with the oem mounts.
