TV rear sag help

I have a 2012 Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4X4 5.7 V8 with an A.R.E. canopy. Towing a 2016 Jayflight 23MBH. Notice a bit of rear suspension sag on my latest trip. I have used Airlift airbags in the past on a few Rams and a Dakota. Love air bags but the nearly $800 price tag is making me look for alternatives. Visited etrailer.com and found a product that got my attention. Timbren Vehicle Suspension SES kit. They replace the factory bumpstops and cost $214 for a set. They mount to the frame and compress when they are pressed against the axle while under a load or towing. Looks like it could work well for bumper pull trailers and 5th wheels. The install video says it's a self install, 15-30 minutes, no drilling. $214 and self install or $800 including shop time. Does anyone have these?

An equalizer hitch should do the job if set up properly

Sounds like you need to adjust your WDH. That should pretty much eliminate any sag.

Agree with farnik78. Have one for my Jay Feather EX, 460lb tongue weight. Works really nice.

Have Timbren SES. Work great, very popular. Check their web site if you have any questions.

I will assume that your using a WDH, and it's normal to experience a 1"-2" rear TV squat even when a WDH is properly rated and adjusted. Yes, airbags and other products can help to minimize rear TV squat if it's an issue.

Before investing in a rear lift product...., I would visit a CAT scale and confirm your TV/TT combination's loaded weights, tongue weight, and that the WDH has returned (distributed) the proper weight back to the TV's front axle (refer to your TV's owners manual).

CAT scale 'how to': http://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f3...v-tt-3871.html

Also, if your loading habits have changed (i.e.: towing with TT tanks filled, added a TV box canopy, etc.) this can directly effect how the WDH distributes weight off the TV's rear axle.

If you are going to put something on the truck after finding out adjusting the WDH doesn't quite do the job I would look into the Roadmaster Active Suspension kit. It's a little more costly than what you are looking at but it works great for loaded and unloaded rides. It will add about 1-2" lift after installed but it will work well to level the TV and it reduces the bouncy feel you get going over the bumpy roads. Big plus it's an easy easy install.

Many people have them on this forum and I have yet to hear any negative reviews but I'm sure there are some. Good luck
