TV won't work, but dvd does display

Whitehawk 2017 23MRB. Getting ready to travel. Hooked up shore power. Put in a DVD and movie displayed fine. Tried to switch to TV with remote (does have batteries) but could get no stations. I remember during the walk -through that tech said I need to get a cable if I wanted to watch TV outside. Did I miss something for the inside TV?

Did you raise the antenna, turn on the booster and do a channel scan?

On my unit, antenna is always raised, don't know anything about a booster but I will look it up, and did try a channel scan. Could get the "channel" but nothing would display on the screen.

The booster needs to be turned on and make sure that the input in the menu for the TV is “air/antenna” not “cable”.

Some of the newer units have the King antenna that is mounted on the roof and does not raise up like the old Wineguards. Either one has to have the booster on for OTA reception and the tuner rescanned each time you move to a new location.

When we were on the road, I just put up the antenna. I did not know you were supposed to turn on the booster. Our TV worked fine after the scan for channels. Where would a person turn on the booster, power button location? We have a 2016 White Hawk 24RKS.

Duke4857, follow the coaxial cable from your tv to the wall plate. On the wall plate is a tiny button and a tiny light. The button turns the OTA amp on/off and the light indicates on/off.
