I'm new to all this. I have my first ever camper. A new to me 08 jay feather sport 165. I love It, but the pipe stand that supports the table fits sloppy on the bottom and makes the table wobble. What have you guys done to sturdy it up?
Are you sure it is the original pole, or possibly a replacement by a previous owner? If it isn't the right pole, they are available.
I would first make sure there is nothing wrong with the mounts, that the pole fits in. Some are plastic and could be cracked, causing a wobble.
A really simple fix might just be a round of good old duct tape around the pole. A little more professional look would be to plasti-dip the end of the pole. In this case, I would tape and use the spray version. The actual dip cans are pretty expensive and more difficult to control the thickness.

I would also check to make sure all the screws are in tight at the bottom base?
My screws just pulled out of their holes and needed to be rethreaded into place at the base.

I had a wobbly table with my camper. I kept trying to figure out ways to get it more stable. I didn't want to do anything too invasive. I kinda like the pole system. Finally I was messing with it and noticed the base had cracked right along the top. I bought another base at the camper dealer and it's not bad now. The posts and bases on those are not very expensive. The replacement is thicker and stronger than what was in there before.
We tossed the whole table, and replaced it with two smaller folding tables.
Much more flexible, and easier to put way when not in use, making more room

We have a table with the 2 removable posts in the floor. I found the biggest issue was the kids (12 and 14) holding onto the table to get up would make it move.
I ended up making a panel the exact height for the back (on a hinge attached to the table) that I can swing down before attaching the posts. This greatly increases the stability of the table.
Can't seem to find my pictures and trailer is stored for the winter, but in the spring I can try and get some pictures.

Welcome Aboard J_Dee. My experience with those table legs, are they get wedge in so tight you cannot get them to release.
I would agree with MadMaxMutt about taking a little time to look at both the post and the mount. The former owner may have replaced the pole, but I suspect crimped it so it would slide in and out of the mount. They may have over done it. While you are at it, verify the mounting screws are secure.
If it is just a little loose, you might be able to add a piece of plastic to fill the bottom of the cup so the pole cannot move as around as much.
