USB Media Files

Does anyone know if the DVD player in the 2019's can handle media from a USB memory stick?

I was just reading the manual for my iRV 32 system and it says the USB port is just for charging; it's not configured as a data port.

Our 2017 Bungalow came with the Furrion DV3300. The USB port does read photos, audio and video files. Are all 2019s coming with the iRV 32 system? That seems like a downgrade.

Many of the 2019s I've seen on line have the IRV model 32. The IRV 34 can read MP3, MP4 video (short files according to the manual) and JPEG files. I don't know how Jayco determines which brand or model goes into a particular model unit.

I bought a Western Digital MyPassport Wireless Pro (4T) from Amazon. It is a NAS device (network attached storage) meaning it does not have to connect directly to a computer but connects to a network and all other devices on that network can access it, it also broadcasts its own LAN. I’ve ripped all of our DVD’s onto it and loaded PLEX media server on to it. This gives me a portable media server that I use at home and on the road. The TV in the 5th is not a “smart TV” (it has no networking abilities) so I’ve connected a ROKU stick to it and loaded a PLEX client to it.
In the 5th I usually set up a LAN that everything connects to (phones, computers and TVs-via Roku) and play the vids on the WD. If the CG WiFi works I connect to that and all the devices can hit the Internet too. If I don’t bother with my local LAN the WD disc has its own which I can use via the ROKU and play my vids.
It was a bit “fiddley” at first but I’ve pretty much have my arms around it now and it works pretty smoothly. Currently I have a little more than 700 video files (a mix of movies and TV series) and use about 25% of the WD’s storage.
