Ventilation

New to Jayco with our 2007 Feather213exp.The ventilation sucks and Jayco says they don't have schematics for anything older than 2009.Would like to add roof vent in dining area.Appears to be plywood and styrofoam sandwiched together.Roof is only about 2 inches thick.Used camera snake in wiring chases and found nothing.Anyone have any advice or diagrams?

It is a sandwiched ceiling as you said. Exactly what are you trying to find, if it's the cross members you can tap on the ceiling to find where they are. Probably a good 3-4 ft spacing between each one according to the picture in the brochure.

Thanks Grumpy

Would have thought I would run across something in the wire channels that run down the middle.I did try a stud finder inside and on top of roof also. Thanks for the info and am open to anymore ideas.

There is a post of a guy who removed his roof and total rebuilt it, not the same model. Shows the aluminum sub framing and wires running through the channels. Maybe worth spending a few minutes looking for.

It is an older post, but it brought back up to the top in the last month or so. Probably in the maintenance and repair forum.

Edit; found it, some of the images are missing, but it still should help some

Wow what an eye opener.

Thanks so much for that thread.Appears as there is not much for support except for by A/C unit, which I have disassembled inside TT.More than likely why couldn't find nothing in wire chases.Tried thumping ceiling as Grumpy instructed but all sounded same. Now my question is,if I do install vent will roof integrity be compromised?Sure would be nice to get air moving.
