very slow shower drain

Morning all!

Did a quick search but can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

We just got back from a week at the ocean and the trailer did great. Only one hiccup though. The shower took over an hour to drain. The sink next to it in the bathroom drains fine as well as the kitchen drain. Checked the vent and it seems ok. Tried plunging it and that didn't work either. The previous owners never used the shower, we're the first. I really don't want to have to drop the underbelly cover but I will if I have to.

Any Ideas?

Do you have a true shower, or the tub/shower? Our tub/shower has an access panel to get to the trap if needed. Does your by chance have one? What about trying to snake the drain?

Good luck!

No..it's just a standup shower. I plunged the H*** out of it. Nothing. Then a fellow camper next to us (with a JayFlight) suggested the vent. I knew about the vent but checked it again. Don't you think the sink would be on the same drain? The sink drains perfect. I don't get it.

Not necessarily stuffed, but any mold and/or dried out antifreeze will build a nice plug in the trap.

1) Pull the screen and clean it.
2) Flush with lots of HOT water with the grey dump open.

Does the shower have a trap? Like the sink?

It should, or you'd be whiffing grey tank odor...

Best bet would be to find the access panel (if there is one) and remove the trap and clean it out. A snake would break things loose, but not necessarily remove everything.

It does, but it may not be directly under the shower sometimes they run a pipe over to a trap do to clearance issues.

Sounds like the trap just may be the culprit. I'll check for an access panel when I get home. Took a quick look while away and didn't see anything.

Thanks everyone!

If there is an access panel it would/should be located near the back side of where the shower drain is.
