Wall construction

I have a 2016 Jay Flight with the fiberglass walls. Are those constructed with wood studs internally or aluminum? I've seen some recent debate and I'm now confused. I always assumed they had wood inside. Any way I can easily confirm?

Thanks

D

The 2016 brochure shows the side wall construction to be 2x2 wood

Wood structure / stud wall.

Filon laminated to luan, then that is glued / bonded to the wood stud wall. So it’s kind of a combo of hung wall and laminated wall.

2 x 2 wood wall studs. Fiberglass is pinch roll laminated and backed by wood luan with overlapping seams. Fiberglass is attached and hung to studs.

Exterior walls are 2X2 wood but I have one interior wall (that supports the tv) that is 1X2 wood framing...YIKES! I'm also pretty sure the slide out rooms are made with metal studs.

When I was at the factory, every laminated wall I saw was metal studs. I'm not sure about every line.
Send Jayco your vin number and request your framing layout, that will tell you what you have.

Jay flight is most definitely wood studded. I have pictures from the factory of the fiberglass sidewall construction of the jay flights.

I believe the JayFlights are wood.

Whitehawks are aluminum stud.

You didn't see a Jay Flight wall being made. All Jay Flight walls are wood 2x2. Jay Flight does have an option for a fiberglass wall that hung on the wood studs.
