Wall Mount A/C dripping all over side

So it was a hot weekend last weekend and we ran our wall mount A/C for the first time (Jay Flight SLX 175RD). Everything works fine. I just don't like the fact that the condensation runoff just drips/pours down the side of trailer.

Any ideas how I can divert this water away from the trailer? I'm thinking like a PVC half pipe under the bottom of the AC or something. Not sure how to attach it though.

Thanks

My first thought is consider yourself fortunate its leaking outside. Jayco did have issues on some older side mount A/C units. I was lucky to fine my 145RB with the roof mount unit. I gained a TV location but I lost the extra roof vent. I'm sure there are many on this forum with your set up as the side mount is more popular.
Good luck and have fun in your 175!!

I have a roof mount, so not sure about the wall mount A/Cs on campers; however, a window unit in a regular house window, should be tipped slightly back so the condensation runs to the back of the unit and drips out from there. so, see if there is the proper tilt on it, and then check to see if the drain holes are stopped up, so instead of dripping out the back of the unit, the water is filling up and coming out next to the wall.

Also make sure your trailer is level front to back and side to side.

Get yourself a small Torpedo level and make sure it has the proper tilt. As stated the water should drip out the rear. Also check the pan drains for sludge buildup.

I posted this recently on Jayco Owners Forums.

Got tired of seeing water run down the exterior window and window frame when the wall A/C on our 145RB is running. Couldn't find anything locally so I ordered j-molding from Amazon and affixed it on the aluminum siding below the A/C and above the window frame. I trimmed a bit off the molding so it would fit at the bottom of a seam on the aluminum. The 3M product stuck really well.

Now most of the A/C water is rerouted around the window frame with a very small amount falling onto the glass window. I'm happy with the results. The downside was I had to order 25 feet, but I did do the window under the A/C unit as well as the window under the edge of the awning. I have enough left I could redo them a few times over.

Mine drips out the side and then down the side. Messy but no big deal for a few days.

I have thought about taking off the outside edge molding and seeing if I could put a piece of hose 2 or three inches long so it will drip free of the side.

Hope someone has tried this and posts a picture so I can copy it. ( or not if it did not work!)

At least for you it is not dripping down the inside like some posts I have read.
