Measure your opening diagnolly to see what will fit them find a locking wall mount. Talked to Jayco today they recommended I use non self tapping screws 1" long

Television wall mount

An additional question on the TV mount subject:

My 2010 22FB has an (empty) TV mount on the wall aft of the dinette. Looks like a 24" unit will fit the space. I have a spare 24" flat screen with mounting screw spacing of 4"x4" - which matches one of the wall mount spacing options.

Question is - does anyone know (or who would know) the mounting screw thread size and length for putting that baby up?

Thanks in advance for any help.

When looking at the screw spacing you said about 4" x 4"

Those are normally a metric M4 screws.

Normally TVs 29" and smaller are going to use the 3" x 3", 4" x 4" or 4" x 8" pattern all being the M4 screws.

TVs 30"-40" use the 8" x 8" spacing and M6 screws.

Over 40" they use a 16" x 16" spacing and M8 screws.

Here is a link but I would just go to my local Ace Hardware as they have a good selection of lose screws and bolts.

Many thanks for the info on mounting screws for my TV bracket mounting.
Will get them and mount the TV tomorrow.

This forum is unbelievable in the info available, and quick response from the experienced RVing experts.

Again, many thanks.

The real safe way to mount things to the thin walls using screws is to mount a one-inch thick back board first connecting to the known wall studs. Then you can mount almost any of the TV MOUNTs using regular screws etc...

Will looks like these couple of photos...

google images.

If the back boards do not line with known wall studs then you can have good success using what is called a MOLLY BOLT where the inside wall part spreads out to make a good tight fit inside the wall.

This pictorial shows how it works...

Google images...

I would experiment on a spare thin board first to see how it works...

You can paint the back board to match any decor...

Tn10Point,

I also have the 212QBW. I bought a 28" vizio, it fits perfect in the rear area for the TV. I used this mount:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LZIMG6W...I1QO4QIQ7V18BF

I also checked with Jayco on the screw length, they recommend no longer than 1" screws, which is what I used. I also used a stud finder on the wall to figure out how big the area is with the backer board where the "put tv here" label is.

This mount makes it easy to pull the TV off for travel, which I do, seeing as how it is mounted at the very back, most bouncy area of the RV.
