Walls around gas stove get hot when cooking in a 2013 184 BH

Just took out our new 184 BH on our first trip. Had no complaints about anything, except that the wife says that the two walls adjacent to the stove felt VERY hot after just a few minutes of cooking and thought it may be dangerous, so she took out the electric frypan to complete the meal. Has anyone else noticed this possible danger? Going to Home depot tomorrow to check out some possible heat refraction or protection panels for those two walls. If anyone has remedied this possible danger, please respond.
