Washing a travel trailer

I’ve always thought pressure washers should be avoided. I use a battery powered “power washer”. They put out less pressure and get the job done without concern of decals etc. Mine is a Torx but there’s others out there.

Pressure washer on rv

I have used the electric pressure washer
(1800 psi) on my rubber roof many times, just don't get too close to the caulked areas and have never had a problem. Also use it on the sides of our trailers. First I spray off the sides top to bottom with a 6' extension on the pressure washer and a angled head so I'm spraying down instead of up, to get the majority of dirt off then use a foam Cannon and McKees RV wash n wax cleaner and put it on pretty thick and while it's running down the sides a quick soft bristle brush on an extendable handle and then rinse off the sides using the 6' extension again. No ladder involved, all done from ground level. Then put McKees RV wax in the foam gun and give it a thick coating of wax and a final rinse with the extension wand. Looks like a new trailer when I'm done.

I use the Ryobi 18V rotary telescoping washer with the soft bristle head and pre-soak one section at a time with a soap cannon. I use the semi-coarse bristle head when doing the roof. Love the washer, cuts down my wash time considerably!

Yep. I was having a grand time with the power washer until, not paying close attention i nicked the decals next to the door.
