Just cycle the heater a few times to purge the air from running the lines empty. This happened to me also, the pilot for the heater uses very little gas, so takes a long time (for me was about 8 on/off cycles) before gas gets to it.

You have a bubble. Light the stovetop. That might clear the line. If that doesn't work, turn the heater on. The furnace has the highest volume of gas throughput and will definitely clear the line.

Air in line most likely turn on and light stove you may have to try water heater a few times as the air is purged out of lines

Interesting the hear about the air bubble. That may have been my problem I'm having - though I get around it usually by just sitting with a chair there at my heater and holding the pilot button down for about a full 2-3 minutes before even attempting to light it. This without fail has allowed me to get the heater lit right away. Prior to this method, it had me stumped as to why I couldn't get the pilot to light like a normal pilot on a home water heater.

It just uses so so so very little gas. So once again, I just sit there holding the pilot light button down for about 2-3 minutes... (I actually time it). Then I finally light it, but then I hold the pilot button down (after it's lit) for about 1 minute more after lighting before letting the pilot button go. After the full minute of holding it down, it's burned off any debris and will stay lit long enough for me to turn the knob to "ON."

Thank you to everyone for contributing to this thread! I didn't know there was a fuse in there before reading here. Good to know for the future!

Turn the gas on SLOWLY. May have to repeat a few times. It's a very common problem

Water Heater

I have had the same issue. What works for me is to purge air from propane line by lighting stove for about a minute and then have water heater ignite afterwords. It always works for me.

Start your stove-top burner drawing gas through the line. Always does the trick for me when the hot water heater wont ignite.

Tankless water heater

Anyone familiar with same kind of problem with tankless water heater. Only way we cleared it was to unplug from shore power, go home, and try again in the home driveway, and it worked again!

There are only three reasons for lack of gas flow: 1. An empty tank; 2. A really bad leak; 3. An air bubble in the line. 99% of the time it's an air bubble, and it's almost 100% guaranteed you will have one when you let your tank get down to totally empty (so don't do that). To get rid of it, you need to move gas through the line at the highest rate and volume you can. You do this by firing up one or both of the appliances using the highest volume of gas: The stovetop and/or the heater. One or the other works every time.

In the order of likeliness...

What is your battery voltage? It will also beep if your battery is low.

What about carbon monoxide from your vehicle or some other source?

Do you have a dog that is passing gas? (not kidding!)

None that I know of. They are directly connected to the RV battery. What RV do you have?

Is your battery disconnected? If not, have you checked your battery voltage?
