There should be a switch in the control panel. If not then check inside the hot water heater panel. One of my previous trailers had the switch out there.

In the control panel, you have a switch for LP gas water heater, Electric water heater, and the water pump.

You can run both the electric and gas at the same time to help with recovery time. Click image for larger version

Either it didn't get wired from the factory or the water heater is a gas only. I can't imagine a unit that size and that new doesn't come both gas and electric, but I guess its possible.
If you bought it new I'd be calling the dealer to find out.

I would pop off the access cover and look for a model number. Search online to see if it has electric capability.

If it is a Suburban water heater the switch is kind of hidden on the lower left of the heater when you are facing it. It is hidden a bit behind some of the parts of the heater.

Remove the outside vented WH cover. Tell us the brand and model #. If it's a Suburban it will have a small black switch on the bottom left corner. Also look at you breakers and see if you have on labeled Water Heater.

Got this off a spec sheet: For your make year and model. https://www.rvusa.com/rv-guide/2018-...32bhds-tr35708
