Water in battery box - 2017 28RLS

Prepping the TT for upcoming trip. Opened battery box to check it. Found it full of water (rain I suppose)

There's no drain at the bottom of the battery box. Should I drill a few so water will drain out???

That's exactly what I have done and it solved the problem.

A few 1/4 " holes will solve the problem. Before someone goes to the old issue of "gassing" batteries leaking acid onto the frame and killing the environment, modern sealed batteries don't leak and if they did the small amount dripped out between the frame [drill holes so they don't overlap a frame or mount support], isn't going to melt glaciers or kill bambi.

Cleaned it out. Drilled some holes. All better! Thanks for the comments.

Oh yes, sealed batteries can spew acid. I had one in my 2006 Ram that went bad and sprayed acid all over the inner wheel well and it was coming out of the vent.
I agree though, glaciers will not melt, probably.

Our dealer drilled a couple 1/4" drain holes and they secured the battery box to the metal frame, so if the strap fails, the box stays.
