Water line purging

Here come more newbie questions. So I bought an adaptor for my fresh water inlet, so that I can use air to purge the lines of all water. Do I only want to do this to winterize it, or should I do it occasionally if it's going to be a while before I camp again? Is there ever a concern of water getting stagnant, after sitting in the lines/tanks for a few weeks?

Also, I have a compressor that you preset the desired PSI you want in a tire and it stops at that point. Since it doesn't have a regulator, I'm worried that it might use more than the recommended 30-40 PSI while running continuously. Anyone ever use one of these, and had success without blowing apart their water lines? I'll eventually get a proper compressor, but hoping that I can use this for now. Thank you for your time.

If you are in the habit of letting your water run for a few moments before initial use after sitting for a while, I wouldn't worry about trying to push the water out of them between camping trips. It does sound like it will work well when you plan on winterizing.

turn off your water pump, open your low point drains then open all the taps.. most of your water lines will self empty.. or at least it does this on mine.

X2 - I also have to pull the plug on the water heater to drain it.
