Water Pressure on Rear outside “shower”

Hey All!

We are having a great time on our travel trailer as we spend our first full week camping. I am hooked up to camp water with a regulator (40 to 50 psi) and a charcoal filter. I use a 90 degree fitting into my regulator. We were excited to hose off my boys using the outside shower (therefore conserving our gray water—we are not hooked to sewer) —but the water does not spray out—it sort of dribbles at a medium rate of flow. Is this normal? Does anyone have any upgrade suggestions to increase the flow/pressure? My faucets and toilet all seem to have enough pressure. Any ideas? Help me keep these kids from getting the inside of my new castle dirty!

Disconnect the hose at the control knobs and check your pressure again, possibly you have plugged filters in the hose connectors, then try back flushing your hose, also could be hard water in the shower nozzle. Most the external shower heads are the cheapest of all, try an Oxygenics RV shower head (don’t waste your money on the eco camel, or others who claim to be better than Oxygenics, been there - done that)

Ok. I did not know there would be filters at the connectors. I will check it out.

Just to check basics, did you flip the push/pull switch on the shower head itself? Let’s you shut off the water flow without having to twist the knobs closed every time.

Or it may be a twist to close shower head.

There could also be construction debri in the valves or the shower head.
