water pump is very loud

Hello, So does anyone else have a loud water pump or am I just lucky. We have a 2009 Eagle 32RBDS that we got spring of 2010 great rig accept for this pump. when it runs you can't hear someone else speak. Now I spoke to the Dealer and he said that it normal. I checked to make sure everything is tight.

thanks
Rogerd

Water pump

Our water pump is very loud also. We have the MH in shop now and that was one thiing we wanted to have checked out. The service person told us that was "normal" and that it was too tight to try to insulate the pump. So we are going to look at another brand of pump.

It is really not any louder than the last couple of trailers we have had. You do know when someone is using water.

I would say more then 50% reduction. It is very tolerable now. Some have reported making their pump so quiet that they cannot even hear it run with silencing materials over on RVnet. The main thing is to isolate the hard plastic pex piping from contacting the floor and walls, etc which vibrates throughout the rig.

Good morning and thanks for the replies and info.

Mr. Crabman I think I will go with your idea. It’s in my skill level. I will build it over the winter and install in the spring. Will post pictures when completed.

Thanks and have a nice day

Also - make sure if yours has the anti freeze hose that it is secure. Mine was leaning on a cabinet panel and made all kinds of noise. Simply repositing the hose reduced the sound significantly.
