Water pump issues

If I am not going to winterize do I need the two on/off valves between the tank and pump? Putting in Shurflos kit to quite the pump(new) on a 2010 RKS.

Speaking of water pumps - where do I find the on-board water filter in my 24T?

If your talking about the filter for the sink it is found in the cold water line under the sink in the kitchen, if your talking about the screen filter that is found attached to the pump. Hope that helps

No, but why would you not winterize?

I bought the Shurflo kit to quiet the pump noise, but when I went to install it on my 22FB the pump already has flex lines of the same material.

What I did instead was re-mount the pump on a peice of wood with foam rubber under it. I also put peices of stick-on foam where the hoses and pipes touched the floor and walls. This helped isolate a lot of the vibration transmitted throughout the trailer.

Tim- I live in Central Calif and keep it in a shop and freezing wasn't an issue with the old unit (30 yrs). Thanks to all for the suggestions, let you know how it works.

Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum DougFritz! Our daughter and her family lived a little south of you for a year in Mountain House! Being on the coast of central Cali, we also don't freeze and don't have to worry about 'winterizing'

I too hate winterizing. I have at times towed with the furnace running to protect the pipes. Our tanks and under floor area is heated. No broken pipes so far.

Here is what I did to solve the problem on a 2010 RKS 24. The pump is located under the fridge. Replaced the pump w/Shurfo 4008, remove the ells from the pump inlet and outlet, put in a Shurflo quieting kit and mounted it on a plywood/foam sandwich in a more old man friendly location. Now it sounds like a kitten purring instead of a jack hammer. Certainly made note of this in my new owner survey! Thanks for the boards suggestion.
