Water pump run dry

Goofed up with water pump.

Leaving CG today n let the little left in my fresh tank drain as I went down country road. Got home 4 hrs later n realized the water pump was running dry all that time.
Turned it off but it was quite hot to the touch. I put a fan on it and am leaving it overnight to fully cool.
I will add water to tank n test tommorow.
Not sure what brand, but I'm a 2013 23mbh.
You think I fried it. I'm such a dumb dumb sometimes.

Probably a SHURFLO pump, that seems to be the commonly used pump.

My water pump accidentally got switched on, had to be a couple days while I was connected to city water and nothing in the tank. I just tested it and it is working fine.

Good luck

They will handle running dry.

X2, I left mine on once while driving home years ago. I have never had any issues.

If you did fry it then upgrade to a 4 Chamber pump... very quiet.

The typical RV pump is a diaphragm pump and can run dry with no harm done.

Ran mine dry for a couple of days in the driveway by mistake. No issues yet.
